Terms of Use
Client Compass · Effective 15 September 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
(a) These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Client Compass software application ("Application", "Client Compass", "we", "us", "our"), operated as a sole trader business.
(b) By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
(c) We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Application after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Who can use Client Compass
(a) You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Application.
(b) You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating and maintaining your account, including your business and client records.
3. Your account
(a) You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
(b) You must notify us promptly at clientcompasstools@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
(c) We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your account credentials secure.
4. Subscription, billing and cancellation
(a) Certain features of Client Compass require a paid subscription. Current pricing is displayed within the Application at the time of subscribing.
(b) Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not collect or store your payment card details ourselves.
(c) Subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal within the Application; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
(d) Except as required by Australian Consumer Law, subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.
(e) We may change subscription pricing on reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Application after a price change takes effect means you accept the new pricing.
5. Acceptable use
(a) You agree not to use the Application to: break any applicable law; upload or store content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes another person's rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Application, its data, or other users' accounts; interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Application; or reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application, except as permitted by law.
(b) We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
6. Your content and data
(a) You retain ownership of the business, client, booking, and financial data you enter into the Application ("Your Content").
(b) You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Application to you.
(c) You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and backup of Your Content. We recommend periodically exporting your records.
(d) Our collection and handling of personal information is set out separately in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
(a) The Application, including its design, features, branding, and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
(b) These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or intellectual property except as necessary to use the Application as intended.
8. Third-party services
(a) The Application relies on third-party services, including but not limited to Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and mapping, weather, and routing providers, to deliver its features.
(b) We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes made by these third-party providers that affect the Application's functionality.
9. Availability and changes to the Application
(a) We aim to keep the Application available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Application may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
(b) We may add, change, or remove features of the Application at our discretion, including during ongoing development.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
(a) The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, in relation to the Application.
(b) Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
(c) To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss (including loss of profits, business, or data) arising from your use of the Application.
(d) To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Application is limited to the amount you paid us for the Application in the 12 months before the claim arose.
(e) The Application assists with organising bookings, travel, expenses, and tax estimates as a convenience tool. It does not constitute financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and you should seek independent professional advice for these matters.

(b) We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application if you breach these Terms, or if we cease to operate the Application, with reasonable notice where practicable.
